PATANJALI
Loving this pic which was on FB. sorry not sure whose pic it is. :)Patanjali's Yoga Sutras resonate with layers of wisdom and guidance.
One specific sutra addresses how we can become 'established in our efforting' - That to become established in our intentions and aspirations, we need to honour three steps.
Firstly we need to invest long term, without giving way to mind's tendency to boredom. We need to focus with the strength of awareness, whilst connecting to resources that will continue to inspire and sustain our intention.
Secondly we have to apply the discipline of consistency in our practices. When we decide to do something, we must then nourish that decision with regularity of sustaining our direction by establishing a 'habit' that supports us, it becomes part of life rather than purely a conceptual attachment.
Our personal sense of 'worth' is deepened when we take the concept from the fragility of 'will' alone and fire it with strategies, bringing the aspiration into fruition.
And Thirdly we need the quality of 'FAITH' . That is we trust the inner conviction and allow the yearnings of our Soul Self to triumph over our human fragilities. We know that our efforts are appropriate and will lift our life qualilty and our vibrational resonance so as to be able to hear and feel Spirit in our lives.
So we look for Regularity, Continuity, Faith and Respect and from there we step into a new dimension of our lives and a deeper intimacy with our Soul (our Atman)
We begin to attune with our unique destiny and feel the transformation that is happening in our lives spontaneously and effortlessly.
For me I feel that our dietary choices are part of this process, nourishing our body, mind and soul with vibrant living foods serves to strengthen not just the body in which we live, but the mind that supports our intentions and the calming of the emotionality that often hinders our journey.
Namaste.
